Student Assembly (September 27, 2018) - 'What Makes a Good Classmate?'

Every month, ASB organizes a student assembly to foster school spirit among students, teachers and administrators. The presentations at the student assemblies vary greatly from literacy exercises to pep rallies to mindfulness activities. The first of these assemblies for the academic year 2018 -2019 was on Thursday, September 27th, 2018 at Green Valley Campus. The theme of this assembly was “What makes a good classmate?”

The Green Valley Campus ASB middle school students participated in fun mindful team building activities and came out with great tips on what makes a good classmate. Some of these tips included being nice to others, being pleasant, letting go of little irritations, not holding grudges, concentrating on what is going right instead of what is going wrong, learning to be less critical, and being a good listener.

Everyone had a lot of fun learning about how mindfulness can help them do better in their daily school life, and improving social and emotional skills.
