The funds that were raised from last year’s Sukhumvit Fair 2016 were forwarded to the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Thailand’s Adopt-a-School Program, to help needy schools in Thailand in the construction of playgrounds, libraries, water tanks and water filtration systems, and other needed facilities for which government funds are limited. The funds were specifically used to support Bang Nong Kham School (in Suphanburi province) in their library refurbishment projects, and the purchase of educational books and resources.
On Friday, September 29th, 2017 ASB administrators and students attended a special dedication ceremony at Bang Nong Kham School, to meet with students of this school, and take a look at the outcomes of the project. It was a wonderful experience for everyone.
The American School of Bangkok hopes that the newly renovated library and literary resources at Bang Nong Kham School will help their children acquire a better educational life.
We also thank ASB community members once again for supporting the Sukhuvmit Fair 2016 and reaching out to the community.
